Numerous artists have been influenced by or had love affairs with the iconic African American art form called the Blues. Not many sought after it by diving headfirst into its epicenter – Chicago, and even fewer women have attempted. This past April US slide guitar Queen, Joanna Connor reached #1 on the American Billboard Blues Charts with her latest album ‘4801 South Indiana Avenue' produced by the legendary Joe Bonamassa. The success of the album caught the attention of Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash who posted about Joanna on his Instagram. Joanna is in a class of her own when it comes to fiery blues-rock slide guitar playing. She is a force of nature!

James Tutson, is making waves with James Tutson and the Rollback, a modern rhythm and blues/soul band from Iowa City, Iowa. The group was formed in 2016 when singer-songwriter James Tutson assembled a 4-piece backing band to rehearse and record his second full-length album, On Hope (2017). After playing a handful of local shows and discovering a tight, crowd-pleasing sound on stage, Tutson christened his new ensemble “the Rollback,” and a band was born. Tutson was seen recently on The Voice and just released a solo EP, "Still".
